March of the Spiky Soldiers

Tiny yet intimidating with its prickle-point armor, this Assassin bug nymph (genus Sinea) was strutting his stuff up and down leaves and stems. The orange blobs around his middle may be some type of mites.

A tiny dot on a mission, this Red velvet mite (genus Trombidium, I think) was making good headway across what must have seemed like an immense asphalt desert.
