Pointing the way to Spring

A small ‘V’ of Canada geese (Branta canadensis) shot by over the park, heading north. True or not, it’s nice to think that they’re on their way home because warmer weather is coming.

Wild-goose place

The wildlife refuge played host to a large number of Snow geese (Chen caerulescens) last week. Some members of this flock were flying around, while others were content to meander about on land with a few of their gull friends.
