S(nake) curve

Non-digital scales

On an unusually warm day in November (notably not today), this snake was an equally unusual sight. About two feet long, it may have been a Common garter snake (Thamnophis sirtalis).

After zigzagging itself across one of the paved paths, it took off towards the woods once it got into the grass.

  1. Love this picture! I have had many “photo shoots” with garter snakes. I find them to be quite accommodating!
