Several of these resin-like globules are scattered about the meadow area of Weltz Park. All are positioned about 3 or 4 feet up from the ground on various small plants.

Didn’t know what they were at first — insect home, plant canker? The former may be the closest, as I think they’re egg containers (oothecae) produced by a praying mantis.

These two had an eerie facial quality, like alien masks.
