Some of the frozen puddles in the park had evaporated into hollow shells, leaving a layer of ice on top and grass, leaves, & weeds below.

The squiggled slots in this one were carved out by the brown leaf underneath. The curled lobe to the left looks like a tentacle reaching up to check out the smooth surface world.
