“…that one with the yellowy eyes”
Several of this White-throated (and white-striped) sparrow’s (Zonotrichia albicollis
) friends were foraging around in the leaf-strewn floor of a nearby patch of woods.
This one, though, was taking a broader view of things from the edge of a brambly thicket dotted with bittersweet berries.
