Come a copper

Cu queue

I think this is an American copper butterfly (Lycaena phlaeas), who’s joined in the goldenrod buffet line by two other insect diners (perhaps a flying ant and some sort of bee?).

While its bright orange coloring is eye-catching, its less noticeable grey & white striped socks are subtly dapper.
