Cicada shell game

Ghost in the Shell

Ghost in the Shell

Saw a couple of other discarded nymph skins like this one underneath the split rail of a fence that lines one of the park entrance roads.

Suspended like a miniature sculpture, the shell is a fragile phantom of the cicada’s former self.

  1. I really enjoy reading your blog! I have added it to a list of recommended blogs for these peer awards. You can see the list at: http://unlockingthegate.wordpress.com/2013/08/06/peer-awards/
Thanks for entertaining and educating me, and keep writing!

    • Cathy – Thank you for the nice thought. I’m not really into in awards, but I’m glad you like the blog!

      • I’m not sure what I think of them myself after all to be honest! I am new to the procedure. Seem a bit like chain letters. Doubt I will participate in future. Let me know if you’d like me to remove your link.

        Cheers
