Egret stroll

There’s a small swampy area in the park where we often see ducks, frogs, and turtles — and occasionally a heron — but this is the first egret we’ve seen there.

A skunk cabbage junk

This was one of the first things that we saw ‘blooming’ in Joe Palaia park this spring. It looked like a small red junk sailing down the stream. I think it’s a skunk cabbage (symplocarpus foetidus).
